Octo Strike

Octo Strike was created by the Betaking Studios team (me and Alex Costa) for the MJAM2024. The theme was "under the water and plot twist" an we developed an arcade 16 bits experience.

Octopus movement

I developed a octopus movement feeling floaty under the sea. You have to dodge the fishers and sharks to get some ammo and try to shout boats.

Enemies ammo collection and animations

I developed some basic movements for the enemies and the baits. When you get ammo to the canyon you control de canyon and try to shoot to the boats. I also developed some animations to implement the plot twist at the end of the game.

I also developed a timer and life system to get a more arcade experience.
